Asalem is situated directly on the spectacular Bay of Abraäo. The proximity to the ocean offers rare, intimate glimpses of sea creatures such as starfish, crustaceans and turtles, as well as abundant schools of fish. The forest brings frequent visitors, including monkeys, squirrels, fireflies, blue butterflies and a wide variety of exotic tropical birds.
The pousada offers 4 comfortable suites that are situated at the top of the property to take advantage of the view of the Bay of Crena and Abraćo. Located at the end of Villa do Abraćo beach, this inn is 60 metros from the beach and just a short walk from the center of town as well as the nature trails which lead you to discover the beautiful beaches of the island. Located on Santana Street, approximately 50 meters from the beach and 5 minutes from the boat docks, Sanhaēo Inn has 10 apartments including double, triple, and quadruple occupancy affording air conditioning, television, ceiling fans, safe box, mini-bar, and very nice bathrooms with central boiler water heating.
The Inn services are very pleasant. Easy access to town and very close to good restaurants as well as the boat docks where the boat tours take off from. Breakfast is served in a great room adjacent to the media room and reception area. Telephone service is available in the reception area. Portuguese and basic English are spoken.

Located in the Enseada do Bananal at Ilha Grande, the Sankay Inn, come growing and keeping its initial charm.
